Caralee Hubbell

Editor and Writer

As an editor, I nurture the author’s voice through attention to details and with a keen eye for the substantive and stylistic changes necessary to clarify an author’s vision. I’m also a writer. I seek to create exceptional work that is recognizable for its spirit, creativity and value. I understand the need for clear, high-quality work and timely turnaround. I adhere to deadlines and have a sense of collaboration and respect for budget constraints.

Experience

I have experience in-house as well as in the magazine world (Bloomsbury Publishing, WHERE magazine). As a freelancer, I have worked with authors on young adult fiction, campus fiction, a fantasy novel series and literary works as well as a variety of non-fiction projects (e.g., film, cooking, fashion and travel). I am also comfortable working with academic material in Humanities, Fine Arts and Social Sciences.
